IP Key online technical training for Chinese experts

GEVES was asked by the EU IP Key programme to contribute to a virtual DUS training for Chinese experts. On 20-22 October, experts from France, Hungary, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Czech Republic and the CPVO virtually gathered to present the fundamental DUS principles within the UPOV system, and more detailed explanations for certain species.

On behalf of GEVES, Carole Dirwimmer presented the general principles of DUS, and Arnaud Remay presented the use of molecular techniques in DUS. Clarisse Leclair illustrated the work carried out on DUS Maize with the help of numerous photos and videos.

This brand-new experience allowed us to share our respective knowledge on DUS with 50 experts from all over China. A fine example of international cooperation!
