Focus on the contribution of our DUS Cereals experts at Algiers

A delegation from the GEVES cereals DUS team travelled to Algiers from 25 to 27 March to continue the cooperation on cereals DUS started in November 2023 with two and a half days of video training.

On the program of this visit: observation of DUS characteristics in the field and in the laboratory on sheaves, practical exercises to validate the data collected, to configure the software for estimating phenotypic distances between varieties (GAIA) and to transform measurements into scores.

The discussions were very fruitful and the Algerian hosts gave us a wonderful welcome. The collaboration will continue in June 2024 with the visit of an Algerian delegation to Anjou.
