Publication of the GEVES Index Seminum 2024

Index Seminum is a specialised catalogue published by botanical gardens and research institutions. It lists seeds available for exchange with other institutions around the world. This practice facilitates the sharing of plant resources and supports biodiversity conservation, research and education. The exchange is restricted to the professional institutions concerned.

10 years after its last publication, GEVES has this year published its Index Seminum listing 135 species of native or naturalized plants cultivated and harvested during the years 2022/2023 in the growing area located at GEVES headquarters. This work is managed and carried out by the Botany Unit of the Physical Analysis Laboratory.

This publication has been sent to 106 European correspondents.  The aim is to publish this Index seminum every two years at the most.
