New position paper on seeds and biocontrol: collective work for bold projects

Following the success of the scientific workshop « Seeds and Biocontrol: solutions for tomorrow’s agricultures » organised in Paris on 2 October 2019, the Seed and Biocontrol communities from the Groupement d’Intérêt Scientifique Biotechnologie Verte and the French « consortium public-privé Recherche-Développement-Innovation sur le Biocontrôle » respectively, worked jointly on a position paper to highlight and describe the main R&D&I priorities on Seeds and Biocontrol.

The paper sets out research topics for a promising line of research to facilitate successful pesticide-free agricultures as well as the importance of developing multi and transdisciplinary approaches to achieve them.
