A great success for the 18th GEVES Lab Open Days!

For this 18th edition, 100% online for the second year with 76 participants, we also proposed  an online workshop for the first time on the evaluation of rapeseed seedlings, which was followed by 14 laboratories.

This included:

  • Sending samples to be analysed under laboratory conditions beforehand
  • On the day, a good camera (Tagarno) to film our seedlings and make the demo
  • Animation tools: Klaxoon, an online questionnaire to classify seedlings in photos as normal or abnormal
  • A technical team for the content, another for the video and animation tools

The usual seed seminar was organised into a series of webinars : evolution of the ISTA rules and news of the SNES laboratories, the NRL Plant Health mandate and ILC statistics.

The germination laboratory held 2 round tables on dormancy breaking for Sunflower and cold testing for Maize.

Lastly, the SOC recognition and monitoring system for laboratories was presented by a SOC inspector from the SEMAE delegation in Angers.

The webinars had about 60 connections.

The next Lab Open Days will take place on 22-23 September!
