Cultivated biodiversity: the wealth of resources in collections and initiatives to preserve them

GEVES is pleased to announce that the report “Biodiversity cultivated in France – A look at the actions carried out in France for the conservation and development of Plant Genetic Resources between 2014 and 2019” is now online (French version only).

Drawn up in collaboration with the French Ministry of Agriculture, this report highlights the wealth of resources in collections and the actions taken to preserve, conserve and develop plant genetic resources.

Pooling knowledge about the resources themselves, their history and their characteristics, is a major challenge if we are to better preserve this biological and cultural heritage on which tomorrow’s agriculture depends.
