Workshop on the use of Molecular Markers in DUS testing

Organised by GEVES, the first workshop on the use of molecular markers in DUS studies was held at Le Magneraud from 6 to 8 June 2023, bringing together 12 participants from 9 different countries. Alternating between plenary sessions, practical work and visits of the facilities, participants were able to discover how to conduct molecular testing, the different technologies available, and how to analyse the data and discuss the practical applications of molecular markers, mainly in terms of describing and managing reference collections. The discussions, feedback and questions raised were particularly interesting and will help to expand the topics covered at a future session.
