Project: Test of the potential use of SNPs markers on oilseed rape varieties

On 7 December 2017, the restitution meeting for the SNP oilseed rape pre-project took place. For this project, GEVES collaborated with NIAB and APHA in the framework of a larger CPVO project.

8 examination offices were present, including Bundessortenamt (Germany), UKSUP (Slovakia) and the TystofteFoundation (Denmark), as well as ESA and the CPVO. Together with NIAB, GEVES’s Variety Study Department and BioGEVES organised the meeting and prepared the presentation of the results and the project conclusion. Part of the morning was spent reflecting on possible follow-up actions for the project. The CPVO and the participants were in support of continuing actions that have been initiated during this pre-project. In the afternoon, the participants visited the Variety Study Department’s Anjouère unit, including a field trial for oilseed rape.
