Participation of the GEVES Physical Analysis Laboratory in the UFS Forum for Seed Industry Professionals

The 18th edition of the “Seed Industry” Forum, organised by the UFS, took place on 10 March 2026. Nearly 100 technicians and managers from seed companies attended the event.

Part of the day was dedicated to the integration of new technologies into industrial processes. In this context, the GEVES Physical Analysis Laboratory was invited to share its work on the use of new technologies and artificial intelligence for seed quality evaluation. Concrete examples of applications in the pre-screening of analysis samples, as well as the use of X-rays combined with AI, were presented on this occasion. This highlighted the performance gains and also provided an opportunity to discuss with participants the prospects associated with these automation strategies, which are focused on the evolution of seed testing methods.
