From the CTPS Beet and industrial chicory Section

The CTPS Beet and Industrial Chicory Section met on 22 October in Paris.

This was an opportunity to present the genetic progress graphs updated with the new registrations, as well as to look back at the beet campaign and the VSCU trials underway and to come. The results and experiences of various research projects on yellows viruses were presented to the Section. The progress made by the working group on the interpretation of yellows data was also reviewed. Finally, the Section was informed of regulatory and CTPS news, in particular the renewal arrangements for the 2024-2029 term of office.

The next Section meeting will be held on 16 January 2025 in Paris to examine the varieties under study in 2023 and 2024.
