36th meeting of the ENGL (European Network of GMO Laboratories)

GEVES participated alongside Anses and the Joint Laboratory Service (SCL) in the annual meeting of National Reference Laboratories (NRLs) for GMO detection, held at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Seville from 4 to 6 November.

48 participants from various NRLs in European Union countries and the LRUE were able to discuss the latest methods for detecting genome modifications.

Following this meeting, the 36th ENGL meeting took place, bringing together nearly 80 people from this European network, where scientific, technical and regulatory presentations were given.

The final day was devoted to a workshop on the European DETECTIVE project, which aims to develop and validate methods for detecting and identifying animal or plant products derived from new genome editing techniques (NGT).
