GEVES to attend the PlantBioProtech 2026 international conference

From 7 to 9 July 2026, Reims hosted the biannual PlantBioProtech international conference, a key event dedicated to plant bioprotection and the development of more sustainable agriculture. This year’s conference brought together 230 participants from academia and industry.

The work of GEVES was presented on this occasion:

  • The SeedBioProtect project: “Evaluation of seed treatment to control damping-off in wheat and tomato”.
  • The CapProtéines+ project: “Finding seed treatment against Peronospora viciae / pea”.
  • Different methods for assessing the effects of biostimulants used in seed treatment on the early root development of wheat and maize: “Measuring the effect of biostimulants used in seed treatment on the early root development of wheat and maize crops”.

Over 90 oral presentations and 30 scientific posters were showcased, fostering discussion on topics ranging from plant immunity and imaging to microbiome engineering, as well as biocontrol, biostimulants, digital phenotyping and the challenges of industrialisation.
