CTPS Section Rapeseed and other cruciferous plants

At its meeting on 31 July 2025, the “Rapeseed and other cruciferous plants” Section of the CTPS proposed the inclusion of nine rapeseed varieties in list A.

During this meeting, various developments concerning VSCU studies were discussed, particularly with regard to broomrape, the TuYV virus, cruciferous clubroot and nitrogen efficiency. Changes to the CPVO protocol for DUS studies were presented and will apply to applications submitted from August 2025 onwards. A new optional VSCU test, “behaviour towards sclerotinia”, was presented and validated, along with the trial network dedicated to this test.
