GEVES is the National Reference Laboratory (NRL) for plant health. In 2020, it was designated to carry out tasks relating to the detection of pests (regulated but not subject to quarantine) whose primary matrix is seed.
Missions & Mandate
The Plant Health NRL is the technical contact for the Ministry of Agriculture. It supports public policy and works with approved laboratories.
Technical Support
Training, Interlaboratory Proficiency Testing (ILC) and technical expertise… the NRL contributes to the assessment of the technical competence of accredited laboratories.
Testing Methods
In order to provide the tools and guarantee the reliability of analysis results, the NRL develops methods for detecting pests, either independently or in collaboration with others.
