Towards a stronger organic agriculture sector: highlights from CISAB

The Inter-Sections Commission for Organic Agriculture met on 11 March in Paris.

Following an overview of regulatory developments with the DGAL and the INAO, the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the deliverables and initial conclusions of the European LIVESEEDING project, which is due to conclude this year. An update was provided on Organic Heterogeneous Material and Organic Varieties suitable for Organic Production.

Finally, with a view to meeting the needs of farmers and processors in the organic sector for suitable varieties, a significant part of the meeting was devoted to refining the draft of a new roadmap for the next four years.
