From the CTPS Service Plants Cross-Sectional Commission (CISPS)

The CTPS Service Plants Cross-Sectional Commission – CISPS met on Friday 18 October 2024 in Paris.

During this last plenary session of the CTPS 2019-2024 mandate, a number of subjects were discussed, including:

  • the evaluation of resistance to Aphanomyces euteiches in common vetch varieties, an evaluation that will now be compulsory for service plant use, but for information purposes only.
  • the approval of CTPS controls for 2025 filings,
  • The CISPS working method for handling new evaluations (new services, new species, etc.)
  • the CISPS work programme for 2025,
  • the regulatory changes currently under discussion at European level concerning Plant Reproductive Material (PRM) and New Genomic Techniques (NGT),
  • the Scientific Committee’s referral on climate change.

 

Finally, the President, who is ending her involvement with CISPS, reviewed eight years of CISPS life.
